The tempo doesn't change at 00:47 but the playing is much faster so it can be difficult staying in tempo here especially as the drums cut out here.
The bass part on the original was done on the drum machine and just plays whatever the lowest string of each section, so doesn't at all from the guitar part. Quavers can be substituted for the fast picking semi-quaver sections in the choruses.
